Club history
The club was founded in 1992 and was known as the North Vancouver Water Polo Club. In 2008, the club changed its name to the North Shore Titans to better reflect the broader geographic area that families come from. The program acted as a co-ed recreational outlet of the Lower Mainland Water Polo League.
Initially, the club and league only operated from September until December and fixated specifically on high school aged athletes. Due to training restrictions set out by the BC Summer Swimming Association, the North Shore Titans practiced once a week for an hour and a half. Since then the BCSSA has eliminated these rules and the club has increased its pool time. Recreational water polo now includes teams for kids under the age of 12 and has extended the season into spring.

Club members
The North Shore Titans Water Polo Club strives to meet the needs of new and developing water polo players in a co-ed training environment. The program is inclusive, meaning each player is given an equal opportunity to learn the game and participate in the sport. The club is where players will have fun, develop friendships and participate in an action filled, exciting sport that develops their swimming skills and love of the water.
The North Shore Titans can also be the first stepping stone to joining elite water polo clubs such as Pacific Storm or Fraser Valley Water Polo. This allows athletes to qualify for Canadian National teams, to play water polo for university teams or to become coaches.
